Alliance Motors Limited, supports Osu Stool with Ghc5000


Alliance Motors (Ghana) Limited, of the leading retail car company in Accra has donated an amount of Ghc5000 to the Osu Stool to support this year’s Homowo festival.

Speaking to the media after the donation,Mr. Kwadwo Adjabeng, General
Sales Manager, Alliance Motors (Ghana) Limited says Nii Okuei Kinka Dowuona VI, President and Paramount Chief of the Osu Traditional Area has been associated with the Jaguar brand for years and indeed the company is located on his land and therefore they see it as a Corporate Social Responsibility to do this especially at this time of the festival.

He further stated, “Nii Kinka Dowuona VI is a very good friend of Alliance Motors,our showroom is situated on his land,and secondly he is affiliated with
the Jaguar Landrover brand for some years now since 2014 so he’s actually a friend of our company. He attends major functions from time to time.He informed as about Homowo festival and we thought it was a good time to return his kind gesture to our company by paying homage to him and make this donation by supporting his activities since his been also supportive of our activities so far.”

According to him it is mainly the theme of this year’s festival,”Youth In Education,the way forward” that
motivated them to sponsor this year’s festival because education is very important to them and that if people don’t attain high status in life or are well educated, they cannot even be able to afford their cars.

On his part, Nii Kinka Dowuona VI says he is passionate about education and anything that the company can do to promote learning in the community is welcomed.
He outlined some upcoming major activities of the Stool including, Final Funeral Rites of some departed Chiefs
and elders of Osu from the 16th-22nd October, 2017 with the main climax on the 21st October. He says although this year May was when he attained 10 years on the throne, he has scheduled the Anniversary ceremony till after all final Funeral Rites of the departed royals are performed in November this year.
