Coronairus is as dangerous as curses and can wipe a whole family so let’s beware” – Nkawkaw NDC Women’s organizer warns

The acting constituency women’s organizer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Nkawkaw and unit committee member for Akuajoo electoral area, Madam Ernestina Adwoa Owusua, aka Moda, has likened the dangerous nature of the novel COVID-19 global pandemic to curses, adding that it could wipe away a whole household if people do not adhere to the preventive measures and restrictions laid down by the government.

“I say this because if a family member commits an offence and is cursed, you realise that the curse rather kills innocent relative before killing the person who committed the crime and that is exactly how the coronavirus behaves. If one contracts it, it can infect almost everybody around him or her to the extend that if care is not taken, the extent of calamity it will bring will be unbearable and that is why I liken it to curses”. She said.

The women’s organiser, has further pleaded with every Ghanaian, especially residents of Nkawkaw to admit that the coronavirus pandemic is very real and therefore do well to protect themselves against the virus.

According to her, people should adhere the government’s preventive measures and protocols laid down, thus, wash their hands frequently with medicated soaps under clean running water, use sanitizers, practice social distancing both at home and all places and stay at home if necessary.

She has also admonished the people of Nkawkaw to wear their face masks if possible as well as always practice proper personal hygiene, especially children, in order to stay secured.

She has however indicated that the party is putting itself together to distribute some preventive items to the people of Nkawkaw soon.
