The deputy director general in charge of operations at the National Communications Authority and patron to the Diaspora Patriots in Ghana (DPG), Hon. Speaking to our news team on behalf of the beneficiary assembly members who received the donations on behalf of their communities, Mr. Obibini Takyi Frank, the assembly member for the Kwahu Asakraka electoral area, who also doubles as communications director for the Mpraeso constituency of the NPP, expressed his profound gratitude to Hon. Ofosu Sefah for the kind gesture.

According to him, the extraordinarily designed Veronica buckets, which he refers to as hands free, because users only need to apply their foot in controlling the flow of water and liquid soaps is the best for the fight against the coronavirus pandemic because users now are secured of multiple hand touches which hitherto pose a great risk of infection on individuals.

He however advised beneficiary communities to use the items wisely in order for them to serve their intended purpose, and like Oliver Twist, asked for more.

*”I will also like to appeal to the citizenry to prioritize compliance with the preventive protocols of social distancing, frequent hand washing and sanitizing, wearing of face masks and staying home when necessary to support government in the fight against the pandemic”*. He said.

On his part, Hon. Prince Ofosu Sefah, the Deputy Director General at the National Communications Authority, (NCA) told journalists that as an appointee of government and a native of Kwahu Asakraka and Obomeng, he deemed it prudent to present the items to his people as a means of acting pro actively to help empower them in the COVID-19 fight.

The Deputy DG at the NCA also lauded the efforts made by other natives of Kwahu in supporting their people to protect themselves in the fight against the global pandemic including his gesture and indicated that, such prudent steps are just what is needed, especially when the Kwahu Ridge has not recorded any confirmed case so far.

*”We have done this as our widow’s might to augment what our other brothers and sisters have done as a means of being proactive in helping our people protect themselves against the pandemic*. *Once I do this and another brother or sister also contributes their quota, we help secure our brothers and sisters here, especially when by God’s grace we have not recorded any case here*.
*I think this one too shall pass because in 2003, sass came around including Ebola but we were very lucky. What is left now is for us to comply with the preventive protocols to make the battle some how lighter for government and ourselves”*. He said.
