Suhum MP makes donation to PLWD

The Member of Parliament for Suhum constituency, Hon Frederic-k Opare-Ansah who doubles as the Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on communication, has on Wednesday, 20th May, 2020 donated some relief items to the association of PLWDs in his constituency. The items which include 30 bags of rice, alcohol based hand sanitizers, nose masks and sum of ¢5000.00 will benefit over 150 persons living with disabilities within his jurisdiction.

In a brief ceremony held at Suhum Community Center, Hon Frederick Opare-Ansah took the opportunity to educate them on the novel coronavirus and its mode of transmission. He also admonished them to adhere to the President’s directives and other health protocols recommended by the Ghana Health Service and the World Health Organization (WHO).

“I am pleading with everyone to strictly adhere to the directives, this coronavirus does not know anyone, whether you are sick or healthy, whether NPP or NDC, we are all at risk. So, please let us all strive to protect ourselves and ensure all the protocols by health experts” Hon. Opare Ansah emphasized.

The leaders and beneficiaries in the association thanked Hon Frederick Opare-Ansah for his philanthropic gesture towards them and promised to rally behind him to ensure his vision to renew his tenure is successfully achieved come December 7th
