The Assembly Man for Community 2 Electoral area Hon Castro Asumadu Addae has finally been Elected as the Presiding Member for Birim Central Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region.
Birim Central Municipal Assembly for about Seven months now has been without a Presiding Member.
That has delayed a lot of developmental project in the Municipality.
Hon. Castro Asumadu Addae, stood unopposed after his contender *Hon. Emmanuel Appiah Kubi* Assemblyman for Akyem Aboabo Electoral area stepped down.
Twenty Three (23) people voted yes, representing more than 2/3 of the vote needed to be confirm as the Presiding member of the Assembly.
Four people however voted against him.
Hon Castro Asumadu Addae after his swearing in as the Presiding Member expressed his profound gratitude to the Assembly Members and promised to work hand in with them so that they can bring more projects to their various Electoral areas.
He urged the Assembly members to help him succeed as the Presiding Member for the Assembly.
