Ghanaian international, Emmanuel Lomotey has completed his move to Villarreal CF ahead of the new Spanish La Liga season.
The former Dreams FC midfielder joins the La Liga side on a season-long loan from lower-tier side Cordoba.
The 20-year-old was in the books of Extramadura, helping the side to the second-tier league after beating Cartegena in the Segunda B Division playoff final
The 23-year-old’s impressive performance earned himself a deal with Cordoba last season.
Lomotey will join the Yellow Submarines for the La Liga season but will be given a permanent deal at the end of the campaign if he impresses his new suitors.
Emmanuel Lomotey agreed a loan deal with the club last month but his move to Villarreal was stalled over visa and work permits issues.
He joins his new club on Tuesday and he’s expected to begin training with the club in the coming days as the La Liga season begins this weekend.
The promising midfield enforcer joins compatriots Thomas Partey, Mubarak Wakaso, Raphael Dwamena, Emmanuel Boateng and Patrick Twumasi as Ghanaians plying their trade in the Spanish top flight.
