The Church Is Failing Society – Pastor Admits

Pastors have been advised to desist from the abusive use of anointing oil by deceiving their unsuspecting congregation to use it as a solution to all their perceived problems, both physical and spiritual.
They described the development as a means employed by some pastors to enriching themselves at the expense of the unsuspecting congregation.
The advice was given by the Agona Swedru branch minister in charge of the Ark of Salvation Min. Int. Steward Richard Baiden at a 3-Day non-denominational Crusade on the theme:’’ Jesus Is Coming Soon and Deliverance for the Nation.’’
According to Steward Richard Baiden, anointing oil was instructed by God to be used only for ordination purposes and therefore expressed regret how some pastors are deceiving their congregation to use them for all manner of things, including drinking and wrongfully applying them.
He blame the development on lack of desire by modern-day Christians to study the Bible, thereby seing their pastors as demy-gods and leaning on them for all their problems.
Quoting Biblical scriptures to buttress his claim, Steward Baiden warned that the world is at the verge of its end, and has therefore warned Christians to look for churches that preach salvation, and stop following pastors who perform miracles, signs and wonders.
In a related development, the minister in charge of the Agona Swedru branch of the Samaria Miracle Church Int. Pastor Johnson Dzeameshi allso said it is worrying, the situation where some churches only appoints affluent people as elders without recourse to the source of their riches.
According to him, some churches and pastors have compromised their position as society’s mouth piece mandated to condemn wrong doing, and are condoning bad deeds by giving reverence to affluent people in society, irrespective of the sources of those riches.
He cited instances where television stations belonging to churches have allowed fetish priest and magicians to propagate acts contrary to Biblical principles, describing the situation as unfortunate.
