Government has done creditably well in first year of office – Richard Ahiagbah

  1. The Aspiring General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah, has commended efforts of the Akufo-Addo led government for its impressive performance in transforming Ghana’s economy within a year in office.

The NPP government, He reiterates, has done creditably well in the face of great challenges and believes the second year of this government will yield a greater outcome for Ghanaians.

“The passing year has not been easy, but we have done our best as government to move gradually forward, while looking for the most rational and beneficial decisions for the nation”. Mr. Ahiagbah professed.

While bidding farewell to the year 2017, the Aspiring General Secretary said, Ghanaians must share the delight in its achievements, as they try to learn from those previous mistakes.

“Let us welcome the New Year in good disposition and hope for a more beautiful and a meaningful life”. He urged.

Sharing his expectation for the second year of the NPP government, Richard Ahiagbah said the NPP is likely to have a new General Secretary, who will work tirelessly to regenerate core party support and engagement for increased grassroots participation.

According to Mr. Ahiagbah, the NPP needs a new General Secretary who advocates for the party grassroots and policy ideas that will lead the government in meeting the high expectations of Ghanaians.

He further asserts that, the NPP’s next General Secretary must be one who is proactive, not passive in order to forge an inclusive, stable and loyal party environment.

The General Secretary Hopeful took the opportunity to wish Ghanaians, both in the country and the diaspora, especially President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and all members of the NPP,  a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year full of policy ideas and visions to move the country to a higher height.
