Iranian Ambassador Visits Northern Region

The Iranian Ambassador, Dr Nasrollahi Maleki has paid a working visit to Northern region of Ghana. 
Dr Nasrollahi Maleki paid a courtesy call to the Northern regional minister
His excellency Dr Nasrollahi Maleki, and urged the people of the region to promote peaceful coexistence among themselves.
He also assured the people of Iran’s commitment in strengthening bilateral relationship with Ghana and lauded the government for the zeal of working with Iran. Iran has signed an MoU with the government in supporting various areas of the economy.
On his part the Northern regional minister commended the Ambassador and his entourage for the historic visit.
He appealed to the Ambassador to help secure scholarships for needy but brilliant students. He also sought his  attention to support the  Agric sector and assured the Ambassador for their readiness to collaborate in various sectors of the economy.
The Ambassador as part of his visit  inspected all Iranian projects in Tamale, including, schools and ARD projects.
The Ambassador apart from attending a Maulid ceremony also visited some opinion leaders including the regional Chief Imam, chiefs and opinion leaders
The Ambassador before his departure assured that, he was going to work hard to get scholarships for needy students in the immediate future.
He also thanked the people for the pleasant reception.
The Ambassador was accompanied by the Iranian cultural counselor Mr Hassan Ipatchy.
