The Agona Swedru Area Head of the Apostolic Divine Church of Ghana, Apostle George Yaw Kwartei Smith has said no political leader can take the country out of economic woes unless the nation turns to God and seek for His intervention.

Reacting to the recent economic hardship facing the country, Apostle George Kestrel Smith blamed the situation on the neglect of men of God in the country’s governance system.

According to him, the country is suffering because its leaders have neglected God and are leaning on human efforts in governing the country, without seeking for the intervention of God through His prophets. He noted that no human efforts can turn the destiny of country around for the better unless they see the need to include men of God in the country’s governance system.

This, he said could be done by appointing true men of God as advisers to the president.

He later hinted that until this is done, no leader can save the country, and it will continue to wallow in its economic predicaments.
