THINK GHANA FIRST – Politicians advised

The Acting General Overseer of the Damascus Christian Church Int. Apostle Paul Gyesi Acheampong has advised the country’s political leaders to think about Ghana first and not do anything that has the tendency of marring the peace enjoyed in the country because of their parochial interest.

In a Christmas message to Ghanaians last Sunday, Apostle Paul Gyesi Acheampong admonished the country’s political leaders to refrain from making negative comments that will incite the populace, especially their party supporters to take to the streets to cause mayhem to achieve their interest.

His advice comes at a time when the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have taken to the streets in some parts of the country as a form of registering their displeasure of the announcement of the results of the just-ended general elections which declared the President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo winner.

Apostle Paul Gyesi Acheampong noted that election is about winning or losing and therefore advised the former president John Dramami Mahatma who was a candidate on the ticket of the NDC not to allow himself to be pushed by some individuals to do anything that could bring the country to it’s knees because they want to achieve their parochial interest.

He said as a Christian, former president Mahatma should take a que from the Bible and allow posterity to judge for the peace of the country.

He also used the occasion to raise funds for donation to some selected orphanage homes.

Already, the Church has donated to the Mampong Childrens Home in the Ashanti Region.
