At long last Birim Central Municipality get Presiding Member and Government Appointees.

Hon. Castro Asumadu Addea has been elected as the presiding member for Birim Central Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region.

The last time the Assembly Members were sworn in, they were not able to elect the presiding member because there was confusion in selecting the government appointees Assembly Members for the municipality, and due to that, the election of the presiding member has to be prosspond.

At long last, they have been able to swear in the government appointees as well as elect a presiding member who will be presiding over the affairs of the Assembly.

In all, out of twenty-seven Assembly Members, there were twenty-six (26) Assembly Members present during the elections of the presiding member. Out of the twenty-six (26), nineteen (19) people voted yes, while six (6) people voted no with one (1) ballot.

The presiding member, Hon. Castro Asumadu Addea, stated in his speech after emerging victorious that he is going to work hand in hand with the Assembly Members so that they can bring development to the municipality.

He promised to work with love, humor, and unity to make sure the municipality can develop very well.

He thanked the Assembly Members for having faith in him and giving him the nod to lead them.

Some of the Assembly Members speaking to Oyerepa TV congratulates the Presiding Member for his appointment.

According to them, it marks the beginning of development that has been stagnant in the municipality.

They said it would help the municipality develop.
