40 Percent Of Fathers Are Irresponsible – Rev. Osei Bonsu

It has been revealed that four out of every ten fathers are irresponsible, failing to cater for their own children by providing them with shelter, food and clothing, often leaving this responsibility on the shoulders of the mother.

It has also been revealed that nine out of every ten women is confronted with this form of responsivity in one way or the other.

This was revealed by the Agona Nyakrom Circuit Minister of the Christ Apostolic Church, Rev. Elliot Osei Bonsu at a week-long quarterly Revival organized by the church at Agona Nyakrom.

Speaking at the Revival, Rev. Osei Bonsu pointed out that this has resulted in situations where most children turn to love their mothers more than their fathers.

His claim was buttressed by the Minister in charge of the Gomoa Akropong branch of the Holy Church of Bethlehem, Rev. Asare Ansah in an interview with Ghananews.com on the claim.

According to both Clergymen, fathers are heirs charged with the responsibility of catering for the children they have brought forth, as God will demand accountability of this responsibility, they reiterated.

In another development, the founder of the Gift of God Worship Ministry at Agona Swedru, Rev. McCalister Appiah has also advised fathers to have ample time with their children, and not to leave that to alone.

He noted that some fathers have turn themselves into ”monsters” in the homes, always sending fear and panic into the spine of their children anytime they are around

He later cautioned mothers not to portray negative pictures about their husbands to the children, as that turns to make them hate their fathers and love the mothers.
