Pomaa Krom is one of the oldest community within the Asunafo North Municipality in the newly created Ahafo Region.

The community can boast of it’s Agricultural strength because, most of the people living there are farmers. A lot of farm products like Cassava, Plantain,Coco Yam etc. It’s also part of the largest Cocoa producing Area under the agglomeration of Goaso.

The residents of Pomaa Krom and it’s environs have really suffered over decades due to the lack of health facility. According to the people within the community, the previous government promised them of a health facility but it became a hollow promise.

They were so happy that, the Municipal Chief Executive of Asunafo North, Hon. Yaw Osei Boahen and the Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. Evans Opoku-Bobie have delivered their promise by building such a modern clinic and nurses abode.
The Traditional rulers used the opportunity and appreciated the MCE and the MP for acting on their plea.

Hon. Yaw Osei Boahen thanked the people for their cryptic patience for the many years of lacking such facility. He urged them to patronise this clinic when the need arises because health issue is very critical and basic for our survival.

He stated emphatically that the major funding of the project is through the Assembly’s internally generated fund particularity the stool lands revenue and assistance from the member of parliament, Hon.Evans Opoku-Bobie. The National administrator of stoollands, Mrs Christie Esi Bobobie was so happy and eulogised the Asunafo North Municipality for making good use of the stoollands revenue.

She urged the people in the Area to continue in paying all their stoollands revenue and any other ones because the construction of the clinic and nurses lodge is a classical example of the benefits of paying it.

The first time member of parliament and the first ever Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon.Evans Opoku-Bobie alluded to the fact that, this new clinic is part of the Community Based Rural Development Project initiated by the NPP government. It is so pathetic that, the NDC government led by former president Mahama and the then NDC Chief Executive abandoned the project.

Hon. Evans Opoku-Bobie emphasised on a pricket that, the successful completion of the clinic and the nurses quarters is through the able leadership of the intuitive president of the Republic of Ghana, H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. The minister told the Traditional leaders and the entire community to be ready to welcome the health workers and entertain them to have a fruitful stay.

The Pomaa Krom Clinic will help to reduce pressure on Asumura clinic. The clinic can also serve surrounding communities like Boakyeasua, Tweapease and others. The people within the Area applauded Hon. Bobie and shouted on the top of their voices that, he really deserves another term of office as a member of parliament for the people of Asunafo North! The Ahafo Regional Minister demonstrated his two sticks analogy of the 8 years of NDC and the Two and half years of NPP.

The audience were so ecstatic for such analogy and deduced some didactic from it. A young boy from the community recited a poem which is dubbed, Mosquito. The poem teaches us how to keep our surroundings clean and be free from Mosquitoes.

Hon. Evans Opoku-Bobie, Hon. Yaw Osei Boahen, Mrs Christie Esi Bobobie and the unmutilated entourage proceeded to Kasapin Abidjan, another Area within the same Municipality.

The Ahafo Regional Minister and the potentates in the entourage commissioned an ultramodern classroom block for the people of Abidjan and its surrounding acreage. The Assembly member of the Area commended the MCE and the MP for building a Classroom block for them. The queen mother and the sub Chief expressed their heartfelt happiness and appreciation. Pleasantries were exchanged between the people of Kasapin Abidjan and the the dignitaries.
