The Member of Parliament for Akim Oda constituency in Birim Central Municipality Eastern Region Hon William Agyepong Quaittoo has procured clinical equipment worth over Ghc 50,000.00 for the Birim Central Municipal Health Directorate.
The objective underlying this philanthropic kind gesture is to augment the status of health care delivery in all the Chip Compounds and Health Centers within Akim Oda Constituency.
These clinical equipment includes among others URIT Hemoglobin Level Monitoring Devices.
And the purpose for this particular URIT device is to help nurses and midwives in the various health facilities within Akyem Oda Constituency to conduct a regular monitoring of hemoglobin level of pregnant women before they are due for labour.
The issue of undetected anemia among women in labour will accordingly be reduced to the barest minimum if not totally eradicated.
The Member of Parliament Hon William Agyepong Quaittoo said it is his prayer that the equipment will be used to give my cherished constituents a better health care.
