Mr Samuel Kwadwo Ankra who is a business man and aspiring Akwatia constituency Chairman of National Democratic Congress NDC says Akwatia needs University of Mines Setilite campus.
According to him Akwatia is one of the biggest mining town in the country but most people engaged in mining without much knowledge about it.
He made the call when he was speaking to the media at Akwatia.
He said that is the only source of employment for the people in the area so government as matter of urgency do something about it.
Mr Ankrah who is the owner of Diamond palace said he has made plans that as soon as he is elected as Chairman through his connection with some big men Akwatia will get a University.
He said the delegates should elect people who has the NDC party at heart and thinks more about the welfare of the grassroots.
He said the grassroots is the heart of every political party so the people should vote for him so that he can revive the party.
