Akyem Aboabo Health Center received modern hospital equipment from philanthropist Mrs. Adelaide Thompson.

Philanthropist Mrs. Adelaide Thompson has donated modern hospital equipment worth one hundred and thirty thousand cedis to Akyem Aboabo Health Center in the Birim Central Municipality Eastern Region.

The philanthropist made the donations on behalf of Professor Baifi.

The hospital equipment donated are microscope, digital water bath, drying oven, hematology analyzer, scanner, printer, and thermometer gun.

The philanthropist, Mrs. Adelaide Thompson, in an interview with the media, commended the Assembly Member for Akyem Aboabo electoral area, Hon. Appiah Kubi,for always fighting for projects to be done in his electoral area.According to her, the Assembly Member is not selfish, but he always wants things to be done in his jurisdiction.

She said the hospital equipment will help relieve some pressure from the Akyem Oda government hospital.

People from Akyem Aboabo will not go to Oda government hospital for a lab; rather, they will come to Aboabo health center for a lab test.She called on others too to support the health center in any way they can; according to her government alone, they cannot do it.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Birim Central Municipality, Mrs. Victoria Adu Badu, expressed her appreciation to Mrs. Adlaide Thompson and Professor Baifi for always supporting development in the municipality.

She said the equipment will reduce the pressure in the Akyem Oda government hospital.

According to her, it will make health officials at the Akyem Oda government hospital rest in peace.

Most of the time, there’s pressure in the hospital because of that equipment,but now that Akyem Aboabo Health Center can boost that modern equipment, the pressure there will reduce, and doctors and nurses will have a little time to rest.

She called on others to emulate what Mrs. Adelaide Thompson, Professor Baifi, and his family are doing in the country.

The municipal health director said the hospital equipment is going to help them a lot.

He promised that they were going to take very good care of it so that it would last longer for them.
