Carlos Ahenkora has donated two Brand New Nissan Navara Pickups to the Police in his Constituency.

The member of Parliament of Tema West constituency Hon. Carlos Kingsley Ahenkora has donated two Brand New Nissan Navara Pickups to sakumono Divisional police command and Tema community 2 District police station respectively.

Speaking at the presentation of the vehicles , the member of Parliament said since he became member of Parliament in 2017 he has serving his part of mps common funds which he has used to buy these Nissan Navara Pickups for the police service in his constituency to ensure the safety of citizens and properties in the Constituency.

Mr. Carlo Ahenkora indicated that the current NPP government has done a lot in supplying the police service in Ghana and his donation is to augment the effort the government is doing.

He said ” when I became the member of Parliament in 2017 I saw my predecessor has started the construction of community 14 , I came to complete it but unfortunately the police do not have the man to occupy the station and the residents who we did the project for are not happy after spending huge money to complete the project “.

He promise the residents of community 14 he will contract The Human Relations Resources department of the Ghana Police service to post officers to the station permanently .

Carlo Ahenkora who was a former deputy minister of Trade and industry and indicated that the Government Affordable Housing at Borteyman , SSINT constructed a Police station which has never been used and said he will talk to the inspector General of Police to post officers to that station since a lot of people have constructed house’s in that area.

During the presentation,Tema Regional police commander COP/ Dr Daniel Kwame Afriyie said for the past two years Tema community 2 District police command does not have a patrol Car which does not ensure effective patrol within the district. The regional commander thank the member of Parliament for the donation and said the donation shows how committed the member of Parliament is in ensuring peace and safety within his constituency.

The Regional Commander call on all stakeholders within the Tema Region to support the police service in order to carry on with their mandate.

Sakumono Divisional police commander ACP Alex Kodjo Wowolo promised the member of Parliament that his Officer will use the vehicles for it’s intended purpose. ACP Wowolo said the vehicles will help the police to patrol the Constituency to prevent criminal activities within the district.

The municipal chief executive of Tema West, Hon Ann Adukwai Addo on his part thank the member of Parliament for his continue support to the police service in the Constituency and promise the financial support from the assembly to the police service to maintain the vehicles.

The program saw the attendance of NPP constituency executives, coordinators, polling station executives and other key stakeholders in the Constituency who were to see the donation.
