Coach Asare Gets Doctorate Degree

 

Coach Asare has been recognised and rewarded for his immense contribution to Ghana sports, especially in the boxing landscape of both professional and amateur especially.

 

Black Bombers head coach Ofori Asare has proven that he is an asset to the nation after he received an honorary doctorate degree from an American College.

The award was given to him for his contribution to Ghana’s sports.

 

Asare was awarded a doctorate degree in humanity by the Riches Theological College and Clergy Council which has its headquarters in the United States.

This means that Asare whose fans love to call Coachto will soon be calling him Doctor.

 

Ofori Asare led Ghana to grab the only bronze medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games through his boxer, Jessie Lartey.

 

He is also the head trainer at the Wisdom Boxing Gym and coaches crack boxers like the Samir brothers. He has trained many boxers to international outings.

Currently, he is the only Ghanaian IABA certified international coaches instructor.

 

Earlier this year, Ghana’s long serving national team boxing trainer was honoured by the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG).

 

Patrick Osei Agyemang aka Songo of Multimedia fame was also awarded a doctorate degree in humanity.
