CORPORATE INSTITUTIONS URGED TO SUPPORT THE FIFA U_17 WORLD CUP 2017 IN INDIA

The Deputy Minister for Sports ,Pious Enam Hadzie  has called on cooporate Institutions to support the FIFA U_17 WORLD CUP in INDIA 2017 to enable them excel in in their performance.
He said the world cup is an opportunity for the Indians to learn more about Ghanaians especially the players selected for this world cup. He added that the team is in a high spirit to visit India and also experience India more frequently.
“Government in particular is happy about this world cup and wish that our players come home with flying colors.” He added.
Hon.Enam Hadzie said this at the short ceremony in Accra by the High Commissioner of India to wish the starlets fare well as they prepare to embark on the FIFA U_17 WORLD CUP INDIA 2017,
He appealed to the India Commissioner  and the Bank of Baroda (Gh) limited for support to augment the number of Ghanaians mobilized to India as part of support towards the world cup.
He further asked the Commissioner and Bank of Baroda Ghana limited to increase the number of visa to some supporters to enable them join the team for the tournament.
On his part, the Managing Director of Bank of Baroda Ghana limited, R. Mohan Said the bank is committed to promoting economic development through sports and therefore
charged the players to remain united to be able to achieve their goal.
“I strongly believe in team work because if all of you come together with one goal it will demonstrate on the field”. He observed.
According to him the championship is important because the Bank of Baroda Ghana limited is the main host and therefore working assiduously for the success of the world cup.
Director of Communications Melcom Group of companies, Godwin Avenorgbo said Melcom group is offering the ministry with  one ticket for any official who will go to India for the tournament!.
“Also an amount of 300 US dollars is being set aside to accommodate two individuals who wins their television promotion engagement quiz .He added”.
According to him the company has made available air ticket for the awardees to support the Black Starlets in India.
Mr.  Avenorgbo appealed to the Indian high Commissioner to facilitate the process of Visa for the supporter since the outfit is willing to support the tournament.
The 2017 FIFA Under17 world cup is slated on October 6 to 28th October
