A group, Creative Arts for Change which is campaigning massively for the second term for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, has stormed the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency to solicit support for the Member of Parliament (MP) and Parliamentary candidate for the NPP, Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan.
According to members of the group, they have overwhelmingly endorsed Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan as the MP for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency for the next four years.
The Group which is headed by film-maker-Socrate Sarfo, indicated that the development being experienced in the constituency under the current MP is enough to guarantee votes for the MP and the NPP government in the constituency.
During their campaign through the Constituency, members of the group visited homes, shops and offices to propagate the good works of Lydia Seyram Alhassan.
The Creative Arts sector, according to them has seen a phenomenal transformation under the NPP government and that, voting for the President and all Parliamentary Candidates will be more beneficial.
The group made up of musicians, artisans, actors, actresses, among others, pointed out that the NPP government deserves four more years to better the foundation built for the sector.
According to members of the group, the unparalleled achievements of the Nana Akufo-Addo administration for the Creative Arts Industry cannot be left to rot, hence it deserves another term.
“Weed to fight hard, campaign on the policies, and achievements. We won’t push out lies like our other colleagues from the opposite side. Let’s present facts,” they told residents.
They also indicated that film makers as well as Ghanaians don’t pay water bills, light, and school fees anymore because they are made free under the NPP government and urged the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituents as well as Ghanaians to vote massively for Lydia Alhassan and all other NPP Parliamentary Candidates on December 7.
Creative Arts for Change executives who were speaking to residents in Ayawaso indicated that in 2019, Lydia Alhassan shocked the country by taking up the task to run for office after the loss of her husband, an election that she won by popular vote but which was marred by so many controversies including a commission of enquiry instituted by the president.
However, they noted that as the MP of one of the largest constituencies in Ghana, Hon Alhassan is now facing competition from the NDC candidate, but “leaning on her track record, she is sure to return to parliament to continue the good works and policies she has instituted in her short stay in office,” they stressed.
