Die Hard Supporters Union Mark 10 Years With Football Match

The sensational Die Hard Supporters Union last Saturday morning celebrated their tenth anniversary with a football match which they lost 2-1 against the star studded Ayigbe Town Saturday Stars.

The game was played at the Naa Korle Park with the Saturday Stars featuring players like Amui Quaye formerly of Accra Great Olympics, Abetia Ayeh, former star of Obuasi AshGold and Charles Allotey of Accra Hearts of Oak fame.

Die Hard was led by President Abraham Nkansah aka Apirigu Chakapama who had a good game controlling the midfield.

The Stars had to depend on their experience to score two beautiful goals after conceding the opening goal.

Among the dignitaries who watched the game were former national star Ali Jarra, patrons and executives as well as fans and members of the union.

Apirigu Chakapama said they will support social development in addition to the sports activities like clean up campaigns and educational programmes on healthy lifestyle living.

He said 2019 promises to be a good year and hopes Ghana Sports will be better as the Black Stars are on another mission to grab the African Nations Cup after over 30 years since it slipped through.

He added that they will continue to support all sports disciplines and work with the Associations, Federations, National Sports Authority (NSA) and the Ministry of Youth & Sports.
