EMPS Awards Dedicated Staff, Brilliant Students

The Emmanuel Methodist Preparatory School in Agona Swedru has awarded some staff of the school for their commitment and dedication to the development of the school.

The criteria for the awards includes the most punctual staff, most dedicated staff and the longest serving staff. Other students also received certificates for emerging as best students in their respective classes. The awards took place during the 10 Anniversary and Graduation ceremony of the school.

Established under the supervision of the then Superintendent Minister in charge of the Swedru Circuit of the Church, Very Rev. John Kweku Ackom in 2013 with 4 teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as 6 pupils.

It was intended to replace the then defunct Vocational School established earlier by the Church to provide vocational skill training to both members and non-members of the church.

The school now has a population of 329 students and 23 teaching and non-teaching staff, spanning from Creche to Junior High level.

According to the headteacher of the school Mr. Ebenezer Seth Brew, the vision of the school is to inculcate in the students solid Christian values, high academic excellence and good moral upbringing.
