FDGG President To Meet Film Investors In America

The National President of the Film Directors Guild of Ghana (FDGG), Richard Yaw Boateng, is on an official trip to the United States of America to meet with some investors for the development of the GHANA FILM and CINEMA industry.

Mr. Richard Yaw Boateng, who has always been traveling abroad to scout for investors for the development of Ghana film industry since 2015, is embarking on another trip to scout for investors as usual. In an interview with him at the Kotoka International Airport, on Monday 28th June, 2021, on his departure, he requested for prayers from the good people of Ghana, “It is my hope that the film fraternity and the good people of Ghana would pray for me to get investors who will be interested in coming to Ghana to invest in our film industry,and in our cinema industry most especially”, he said.

The trip will include he inviting Foreign participants for the up coming GHANA INTERNATIONAL FILM SUMMIT 2021, which takes place on 3rd to 6th of September, 2021, at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The leadership of FDGG who were at the airport to escort Mr. Richard Yaw Boateng include the Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Haruna Seidu Soale, former FDGG deputy General Secretary, Rev. Ernest Ackom, Director of Operations for Holyworld Entertainment Centre, Kenneth Appianing, and other members of the Guild.

We wish the FDGG National President a safe trip and a successful business for the good of Ghana film and cinema Industry.
