The Ghana Weightlifting Federation will go to Congress on September 20, 2018.
The much awaited Congress comes off at the Ghana Olympic committee conference room at 9am.
According to a letter signed by the Deputy Secretary General, the main purpose of the congress is to elect new officers for the Federation.
He said guidelines for the elections would be issued on Monday, August 27, 2018.
Meanwhile, news going round states that the incumbent Ben Nunoo Mensah wants to step down as President, while the players and some executives want his to stay on.
But when Yours Truly chanced on the President, he hinted his desire to do other interesting things in sports.
He has decided to focus on his term as President of the Ghana Olympic Committee GOC and make sure he leaves a legacy at the GOC.
He prayed that under his leadership Ghana would get a gold medal at the next Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
He also wants some amount of discipline in sports administration and positive contribution of the media.
