Ghana’s Paralympic team is set to participate in Weightlifting and cycling competitions in Japan

The Paralympic Team from the Republic of Ghana shall take their turn to compete in cycling and Para-Power Lifting competition tomorrow in Japan as part of Tokyo2020 Paralympic games.

Ghana’s delegation to Japan, headed by the Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports also serves as the Member of Parliament for the Asunafo North Constituentcy, Hon. Evans Opoku Bobie and his entourage met Ghana’s Para-Power lifting and cycling team to motivate them today.

Addressing the team, Mr Evans Opoku Bobie says that “the Almighty God has been faithful to us for how far he has brought us to represent our beloved Country, Ghana in Japan. On behalf of H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the president of Ghana, Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustapha Yussif, National Sports Authority, Ghanaians and on my own behalf, I will urge you not to be too much nervous in the competition.

Keep on being focus and discipline, I know that you will surely make Ghana proud.” He emphasised to the team with merriment.

The Deputy Director-General for National Sports Authority, Abdul Majeed Bawa also encouraged the team to give out their best to raise the flag of Ghana higher.

He indicated that the whole nation is looking up to them and supporting them with prayers from home and Abroad. Emmanuel Nii Tettey Oku, Ghana’s Para-Power lifter and the team expressed their appreciation to the delegation for their words of encouragement and thanked them for their good wishes.

The team gave a full assurance that they will not disappoint Ghana in the competition.
