The Member of Parliament for Akim Oda Constituency who double as the Vice Chair of the Trade, Industry and Tourism Committee in Parliament Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah has urged the leadership of Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry to increase their public engagement when it comes to discussions on business issues.
He said as a major private sector business groupings, they need to find their voice in the public space on some of the good initiatives of government geared towards promoting private business.
This was when the leadership paid a working visit to the committee to brief the MPs on some issues relevant to private business growth.
The vice chair of the committee conceded that if politicians are allowed to do discussions on business, it will be skewed politically and the real import will be lost.
