Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah commission Asukese bridge

The Member of Parliament for Ofoase Ayirebi constituency who doubles as the Minister of Information of the Republic of Ghana, Hon. Lawyer Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has commissioned a steel bridge across River Asukese which is located at Akyem Ajobue junction in the in Akyemansa district in Eastern Region.

Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah addressing the people, thanked the chiefs in Akyemansa District for how supportive they have been to him since the bridge broke down.


According to him, the chiefs have contribute a lot as far as the construction of the bridge is concerned. He urged them to always join hands with him so that they can together bring projects to the district.

Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said not long ago, they started the construction of Oda to Ofoase road, people alluded that, they were only stopping at the former birim timbers yard near the Akim Oda new market to open the Akyem Oda new station market but that wasn’t the case. He said the critics have been put to shame as the road has progress far beyond.

He urged the Chiefs to give him their unflinching to support so that Akyem Abenase junction to Paa Willie road will also be constructed.

He thanked the President, H.E Nana Akuffo Addo and Hon. Amoako Atta, road minister for how supportive they have been to Ofoase Ayirebi constituency.

He urged the people always to pray for him and the president so that they will always have the strength and ensure that the constituency gets their fair share of the national cake.

The chief of Akyem Ajobue, Nana Akyanten said, they are very grateful to the president of Ghana and Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah for constructing the bridge for them as it will help reduce the distance for them when they travel from Ajobue to Akyem Etwereso, New Edubiase and so on.

He pleaded with Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah to fix their roads so that using the roads will be motorable for them.

The chief of Akyem Etwereso, Daasebre Ofosu Kwabi Ayebiashwe, urged the people to be watch-dog and make sure nobody temper with the bridge.

He promise to work hand in hand with Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah so that they can bring more developments to the Akyemansa District.

Daasebre Ofosu Kwabi Ayebiashwe also called on all the chiefs in Akyemansa District to come together so that the can help Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah to bring more developmental project to the district.

He urged drivers to be extra careful when plying the bridge because even one life is more important than any other thing.
