The Islamic Republic of Iran, has sent their utmost condolences to the people and government of Ghana for the loss of one of their illustrious sons, Mr. Kofi Annan.
In a message of condolences sent by the President of the People’s Republic of Iran, H.E Hassan Rohani, he indicated that the late Kofi Annan was an honest and genuine statesman whose efforts at the United Nations led to further convergence of the South-South cooperation and enhancement of multilateral and global peace and security .
The Iranian President enumerated that the late Kofi Annan through his work had made the UN enjoyed a glorious time.
“His time with utmost honour will surely be among different countries and sincerely be amongst different countries and nations particularly Africns and Ghanaians.”s
He described the late Kofi Annan as a “global leader and an unwavering champion of peace, justice and rule of law. “
