Ketu South NPP Vice Chairman Petitions National Security Over Threat On His Life

The Ketu South Constituency Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Daniel Akpalu has petitioned the National Security Advisor over what he described as “threat of death” on his life.

According to me Akpalu, he was informed some few weeks ago by two different persons of an attempt by the Liaison Officer the National Security within the Ketu South Municipality, Mr. Martin Danquah to have him attacked and killed by some members of the Invisible Forces.

In his petition dated November 15, 2019 and copied to the Director of BNI, Ketu South Divisional Commander of BNI, NPP National Chairman, Volta Regional Minister and NPP Regional Chairman, he stated that he cannot recollect any altercation between him and Martin Danquah that should warrant any of such attempt on his life.

He noted that “if there was, I would be glad if this will be investigated and my attention drawn to it for which I will honourably apologize to him. Did I do something to hurt the interest of the party for which such hang-up to take my life could be justified?”

Mr Akpalu cited the recent murder of a party Constituency Treasurer, and said the situation is putting his personality in fear.

He said: “I am currently living in fear for my life and my family and going out on my normal routines in the interest of the party is difficult to do.”

He urged the National Security and the various agencies to speed up investigation into the matter so as to help him live his normal life and continue working in the successful interest of the NPP.
