The Member of Parliament for Asene Akroso Manso constituency Hon. George Kwame Aboagye together with the District Chief Executive of Asene Manso Akroso District Hon. Alex Incoom as part of effort to boost education system in the country has awarded scholarship to 186 students in the Asene Akroso Manso constituency.
100 students are been sponsored to pursue programs in the vocational institutions, 26 students have been sponsored to read various programs in the tertiarry institutions, the district assembly also sponsored 56 students with the help of the district assembly scholarship program
The MP for the area, Hon. George Kwame Aboagye on the 3rd March 2019 instituted a scholarship scheme ( ASENE AKROSO MANSO EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIAL INTERVENTION FUND to support brilliant but needy student in the Asene Akroso Manso constituency.
The foundation sponsored 50 beneficiaries for the 2018/2019 academic year.
These were students who were admitted in the various tertiarry and vocational training centers/
institutions to pursue their various programs.
Hon.George Kwame Aboagye in his address stated that education is one of his top most priority so he advices the beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunities given them by studying very hard to reach greater hight to justify the investment been made on them.
According to him he has reach where he is because of education he took seriously so appeal to the beneficiaries to take their learning very serious so that they can achieve their goals in future.
The DCE for the area, Hon. Alex Incoom praised the Akuffo Addo led government, for decentralizing the Ghana scholarship secretariate.
He urged the gathering to take advantage of the government’s commitment to Education since Education today is the best way to change the fortunes of our immediate environment for the better.
