The Youth Chief of Agona Duakwa in the Central Region, Nana Abeku Asiedu III has said his vision is to provide skill training for teeming unemployed youth in the time as a way of engaging them and keeping them away from negative social vices.
He disclosed this at a Home Coming Summit organized by the youth on the theme ‘’Empowering the Youth’’ to raise funds to support the initiative.
According to the Youth Chief, youth delinquency is a major problem confronting the nation with its resultant abuse of drugs, teenage pregnancy and other criminal activities.
He however attributed the situation to lack of provision of jobs by the government.
According to him, already, over thirty youth in the town, both male and female have undergone various forms of vocational training to make them self-employed.
This initiated, Nana Asiedu said is through the instrumentality of the Chairman of the Association, Mr. Kwesi Etiako.
