NCA, NMC GJA OTHERS ASKED TO SANITIZE THE AIRWAVES

The National Communications Authority [NCA], the National Media Commission [NMC], the Ghana Independent Braodcasters Association [GIBA], the Ghana Journalist Association [GJA] as well as the various media houses, especially the electronic have been called upon to put in place mechanism to enSure that the use of abusive and offensive language on the airwaves by people who have branded themselves ”serial callers” are done away with, to save the country from any time bomb.

The founder and minister in charge of the Living Fiath Church at Gomoa Benso in the Central Region, Rev. Anim Addae who expressed fear about the trend of the development in an interview with Ghanamnews.com noted that the situation could lead the country into chaos if measures are not put in place to check it, citing Rwanda as an example where a comment made on the airwaves by an individual led to the death of over 1.5 million people.

Rev. Anim Addae who described the development as unacceptable said the level of insults some opposition party supporters rain on the president in an attempt to make his government unpopular leaves much to be desired, stressing that apart from sending bad signals to the outside world, the holy Bbble curses any one who speaks against people in authority with evil intent and without any justifiable reason.

He pointed out that the country can only develop when the people, with one accord supports any government that comes to power.

 He also advocated for the adoption of a common developmental agenda as a national policy which every government that comes into power will project for the future generation.
