Armed robbery as some people thought has subsided or mutilated, still exists in some parts of the country.

Just recently (18th July 2022) in some parts of the Upper East Region, Gbani to be precise, a mining community under the Talensi District,  witnessed a case of a robbery attack at the mining site.

In an exclusive interview with Bridge News Gh/News Paper, the Prince of Gbani Traditional Area under Tongo Paramountcy in the Upper East Region, Paaze Naab Commando, confirmed that he donated the motorbikes out of deep concern in an effort to help fight crime in the area.

“The issue is very appalling as it occurs unexpectedly just as we think everything is over. This is because there is a mining site in the area.

I must confess though that the area has been enjoying peace and stability as fewer armed robbery cases for quite some time now, all thanks to the Regional Police Command of Ghana Police Service.

As a Prince that I’ve been to serve my people and liberate them from difficult situations like these, I will submit to the police and support them in any further investigation to bring these perpetrators and other future defaulters of the law, to book, “he promised.

The Prince who is a community development-oriented persona and has the welfare of his people at heart has been working with the Overlord of Tongo Traditional Area, Tongo-Raana  Kolbilsong Namalteng, and the Regional Police Command headed by  DCOP Dr. Sayibu Pabi Gariba, to curb the situation.

Paaze Naab Commando, therefore, donated two new motorbikes as his first step in the support of investigations and promised to do more if the need arises.

The Regional Police Commander applauded Paaze Naab Commando for his kind gesture and noted that it will help in the investigation process.

He assured the prince and his elders and people of the area of bringing the perpetrators to book as investigations are ongoing in that regard.
