…Towards Economic Transformation-Danquah Institute Boss
The Executive Director of Danquah Institute,Dr.Kingsley Nyarko has said, under the presidency of His Execellency,Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo,Ghanians will witness trajectory of socio-economic transformation, personal liberty and economic freedom.
Since his six month into office as the president of the republic of Ghana, together with his team has discharged their duties very well and also sustained the economy with some gains.
Dr.Kingsley Nyarko who is a senior lecturer at the university of Ghana and now the executive director of Danquah Institute (DI) in a press released said, the NPP government under the Presidency of Nana Ado Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Ghanaians will witness massive economic transformation because the president is a leader who think more about the welfare of his subjects than the crave for power.
According to the executive director, he believes that the current sitting president of Ghana underscores good intentions to help on restoring hope into people by fulfilling promises he made to Ghanaians before voted massively into power as president.
He stated that after the NPP government took over, many citizens has come to a conclusion that the presidency of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is in control of transforming the economy voters were yearning for which over the years according to him, the past government which is the then NDC administration could not fulfilled and disappointed Ghanaians.
Dr.Kingsley Nyarko reminds that, as observed by the president in the media encounter to render his stewardship accounts to Ghanaians as the president on the progress of the economy, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo told Ghanaians that since his assumption of power as the current president under the current administration, the macroeconomic indicators are picking up steadily. This is important to propel the economy, create confidence among businesses, foreign investors and entrepreneurs.
To Dr.Kingsley Nyarko, who is the current executive director of Danquah Institute(DI), the president was on top of issues because for an instance, the monetary policy rate of the Bank of Ghana has fallen by 300 percentage points from 25.5% to 22.5%, inflation has dipped from 15.4% in December 2016 to 12.1% in June 2017 and the 91-day Treasury Bill also has seen similar fall from 22.8% in January to 11.9% presently.
Apart from, the increase in banks credit to the private sector by about 6% in the first quarter of this year has witnessed some reduction of nearly 7% in the same period which according to him is a way to tell Ghanaians that the presidency under Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, there is hope.
Touching on the rate of fighting against illegal mining in Ghana by the government, he congratulated the president and his able team for good job. He said, although, previous leaders have sought to address this canker, there is no doubt that the efforts of president Akufo-Addo has been very unyielding, and deserves commendation as he resolve to fight this menace by putting his presidency on the line.
Dr.Kingsley Nyarko therefore called on all Ghanaians to rally behind the president to succeed than to fall. He said with President Akufo-Addo’s good intentions, and able commitment to make a mark during his reign as a president of the Republic of Ghana, the best that one can do is to support him and wish him well because when he succeed, it will affect the life of every meaning Ghanaians and the glory is for all.
