Registration for the Women’s 5km Run has begun at the Marina Mall at the airport area in Accra and other places like Elite Sports and Zen Garden at Labone.
The organizers have also made it easy to register on your mobile phone by dialing *800*17# with a credit of at least 50ghc in the account.
The event comes off on Saturday December 8, 2018, and it is the first ever all female – Women’s 5k Run, whereby participants can run, walk or jog, however there would be prizes for winners and outstanding performers like the youngest, oldest, fastest and others..
Mrs Cathy Morton, the Race Director said the initiative by the Millennium Marathon Sports Ltd (MMSL) is to raise funds in November to support the female patients of the Ghana Psychiatric Hospitals.
The fund raising event comes off at the Zen Garden at Labone on November 14, 2018, and the programme hopes to bring stakeholders and donors together for the worthy cause, the Champagne and cake evening.
Mrs. Sonya Shadwan Marketing Manager of Melcom has expressed her unflinching support for the initiative which indicates Melcom backing.
The Marketing and Communications Team of Unilever are also impressed with the quality and splendid organization of events by the MMSL.

After the successful Big Millennium Marathon 2018 which attracted over 8,000 runners, the MMSL have been hailed and commended by international experts and organisations for the great organization and massive publicity.
