Reports Of Burglary At John Kumah’s Residence Fake

Reports of a burglary incident in the residence of Deputy Minister for Finance, Hon. John Kumah last Friday, December 29, 2023 evening, is false.

This portal has established that the said information which was published and being circulated in the media and other social media platforms is false.

There are reports that on the evening of Friday, December 29, 2023, burglars forcibly entered Dr John Ampontuah Kumah’s residence in Chantan, Greater Accra and make away with an amount of GH¢50,000.

“They also stole household appliances and important documents, including passports and birth certificates belonging to the Deputy Minister’s wife,” the said report said.

Meanwhile, when the Deputy Minister for Finance and member of Parliament for the Ejisu Constituency, Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah was contacted, he noted that there was no such incident in his house.

He described the report as fake and wonder where the author of that report got his information from.

According to him, his house is in order and called on the public to disregard such “fake” reportage.

Meanwhile police source at the Mile 7 Police station said they haven’t received any complaint from the Deputy Minister, his wife or any of his family members regarding the supposed burglary.
