Artisans and business operators in Akyem Oda Constituency in the Birim Central Municipality of the Eastern Region have registered their displeasure over the current “dumsor” in the country.
The business operators speaking to Oyerepa TV in an interview stated that due to the current light outages, it has really affected their businesses and made them lose a lot of money and customers.
They said because there is no time schedule for the lights-off they always fail their customers when they promise to complete their work for them.
“Now you can’t promise your customer when you are going to finish their work for them because when you promise them you will disappoint them because of dumsor.
The frequent light issues have really affected our job” an operator stated.
Some of the equipments they use for their work has broken down due to the intermittent power outages which they can’t tell the day it will end.
They urged the government to as a matter of urgency work to end the menace.
The business operators also lamented bitterly about the outrageous billing system happening in the Municipality. According to them the billing system is frustrating and unbearable so they pleaded with ECG to work it out to relief them of the huge bills they are paying.
