We Will Not Entertain Any Political Activity – Chiefs Of Nkum Warn

Chiefs in Agona Nkum in the Central Region have vowed not to entertain any political activity in the town until the government provides it with basic infrastructural needs such as a police station, pipe-borne water, an ICT library, renovation and extension of the health post in the town, among others.

This was disclosed by the Mankrado of the town, Nana Mprah Afful V,  following a resolution by the Chiefs at a meeting to celebrate this year’s Annual Akwambo festival of the town.

Agona Nkum is said to been in existence since 1318, but still remains one of the least developed communities in the Agona Area, a situation the Chiefs blame on lack of the provision of basic developmental projects by successive governments.

Meanwhile, Nana Mprah Afful commended the Chief Executive Officer of Give to Eat foundation–a Non-Governmental Organization based in Germany and development Chief of the town, Nana Kwame Atta Abban I for single-handedly providing some basic amenities for the town.

The week-long festival which began last Sunday 26 Aug. 2018 is being marked by series of activities.
