The Head master of Wesley Methodist Junior high school Akim Oda in the Eastern Region Mr Yaw Owusu Aduomi has appeal to Government and philanthropist to come to their aid and support the school with computers for their ICT center and construct borehole for the school.
Wesley Methodist Junior high school which was formerly called Methodist Boys School have over 240 students but can only boost of just two computers in their ICT center.
The school has produced more prominent people in the society and one of the prominent person who pass through the school is the former Vice President of the Republic of Ghana his Excellency Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissa Arthur.
The Head Master of the Wesley Methodist Junior High School Mr. Yaw Owusu Aduomi in interview with Angel TV stated that they have nice ICT center which was built by the Birim Central Municipal Assembly in February 2014 but the number computers in the the center is not enough for the studnts so he call on Government and Philanthropist to come to their aid and support them with computers.
According to Mr. Yaw Owusu Aduomi the ICT Center which should at least have about twenty five computers can only boost of just two computers and it’s difficult for the students when they have ICT lesson because all of them have to manage the two computers.
Looking at how the world is developing one cannot run away from ICT we are in computer world now so we have to adapt to the system.
Mr. Mark Boakye Sarpong who is the ICT Teacher in the school also Appeal to former students and philanthropist to come and support them.
He said due to the number of computers in the ICT center it’s always difficult for him when teaching ICT because most of the students don’t get feel of computer during ICT lesson so he appeal to people to come to their aid.
The students also appeal to Government to come to their aid.
