Your mismanagement led you to IMF without any impact of global economic crisis- Dr. Kyeremateng hit back at NDC’s critic

The National Advocacy Association under the auspices of the New Patriotic Party has wave back at the National Democratic Congress over their heavy critics against the government decision to seek support from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

According to the group, the present government requesting IMF support is different from the last NDC administration.

The group added that the Akufo-Addo’s Government is seeking IMF support under the unfortunate circumstances of global economic crisis, and the quest to maintain the implementation of its flagship policies and programmes especially Free SHS/TVET, YouStart Policy, Infrastructure projects etc unlike the NDC who went to the IMF for mismanaging the economy.

The group is of the view that, reasons the E-Levy is facing backlash despite it’s implementation is as the result of NDC’s opposition baseless critics convincing Ghanaians from the start.

“In the quest to get back the economy on it feet, the government introduced the E- Levy which was and is the only remedy to help Ghanaian Economy bounce back- The NDC who are the Enemies Of Progress did everything to frustrate the E- Levy implementation and fought it which they thought they were doing politics but did wrong politics against the Ghanaian Economy and against its own party members which has affected both Ghanaians and Ghana as a nation”, part of the statement issued and signed by the group’s National Secretary, Dr. Michael Kojo Kyeremateng said.

“After struggling of passing the bill, they still fought and made noise against it at all learnt convincing Ghanaians to stop the whole process or not pay at all- the opposition Party – The NDC have managed and succeeded to see to the fruit of the E- Levy thus now talking about going to IMF something they have wanted and always pushed for” he added.

Dr. Kyeremateng has thus challenged Ghanaians to hold the NDC accountable if the country is going to the IMF.

GHANAIANS SHOULD HOLD THE NDC ACCOUNTABLE SHOULD GHANA GO TO IMF

In the beginning of the administration of the rulling government, on countless occasions, the Ruling Government has frowned on Ghana Ever going to the IMF- the Government out of the Global Crises hitting hard on all economies globally stood on it grounds to ensure we don’t go to the IMF.

2017 to 2019 Administration met a dying economy and spent time restructuring the systems among others and in it did well to implement some of its Major Policies , like the Free SHS which has seen it own challenges in the process of nurturing it among others until the Global Pandemic of SARS- COV- Virus sets in and then recently Ukraine War during the process of rising up from the Pandemic to make the economy great and strong.

In the quest to get back the economy on it feet, the government introduced the E- Levy which was and is the only remedy to help Ghanaian Economy bounce back- The NDC who are the Enemies Of Progress did everything to frustrate the E- Levy implementation and fought it which they thought they were doing politics but did wrong politics against the Ghanaian Economy and against its own party members which has affected both Ghanaians and Ghana as a nation.

After struggling of passing the bill, they still fought and made noise against it at all learnt convincing Ghanaians to stop the whole process or not pay at all- the opposition Party – The NDC have managed and succeeded to see to the fruit of the E- Levy thus now talking about going to IMF something they have wanted and always pushed for-

NDC is not a party that can help Ghana comparably to the Effective Management of the Nana addo led Government,

We advice and encourage Ghanaians to think through this and see the works of the opposition against the E- Levy to its success making the NDC to push for their agenda.

Politics that affect good policies should not be accepted by Ghanaians.

Just like Razak Kojo Opoku stated below and I quote ‘

the bold decision of Akufo-Addo’s Government to maintain Free SHS/TVET, YouStart Policy, Infrastructure projects etc. have compel us to go to the IMF.

John Mahama went to IMF without the impact of global economic crisis, Free SHS/TVET etc.

Akufo-Addo’s Government is seeking IMF support under the unfortunate circumstances of global economic crisis, and the quest to maintain the implementation of its flagship policies and programmes especially Free SHS/TVET.
