Akyem Etwereso Methodist JHS in the Akyemansa District in Eastern Region has been crowned the winners of the Akyem Etwereso Odwira festival Quiz.
Ten schools competed in the competition namely Akyem Etwereso Methodist JHS, Akyem Etwereso RC JHS, Akyem Camp DA JHS, Akyem Etwereso Presby JHS, Akyem Asabedie JHS, Akyem Kwaboadi No1 JHS, Akyem Kwaboadi No2 JHS, Akyem Akyekrom Presby JHS and Zion JHS.
There was a tie after the quiz between Akyem Etwereso Methodist JHS and Akyem Etwereso Presby JHS, after the tie was broken Etwereso Methodist JHS emerged the winners of 2023 Odauman Quiz competition.
Miss Lordina Opoku from Akyem Etwereso Presby JHS, Miss Fein Elizabeth from Akyem Etwereso RC JHS and Master Micheal Vicent Tetteh of Akyem Etwereso Methodist where crowned the most outstanding students in the Odauman odwira festival quiz.
Speaking after the event, the Odauhene Daasebre OFosu Kwabi Ayebiahwe congratulated all the schools that took part in the competition.
He promised that the Akyem Etwereso education fund will sponsor the brilliant students who demonstrated an outstanding performance in the competition.
According to Daasebre, those students will be enrolled on the Odauman Educational fund and they will be sponsored to university level till completion.
He stressed that, he will ensure that any time they organize the odwira festival quiz, the students who will do well will be sponsored.
Daasebre OFosu Kwabi Ayebiahwe said the Akyem Etwereso Educational fund will be launched this coming Saturday as part of the odwira festival activities. It will be recalled that, Daasebre OFosu Kwabi promised this fund after his installation as the Chief of Akyem Etwereso to support the needy but brilliant students in the Odauman.
He promised to bring more developmental projects to Odauman.
