The founder and leader of the Divine Gift Worship Min. at Agona Swedru in the Central Region, Apostle Philip Mccalister has condemned what he described as deliberate attempt by some pastors to sell anointing oil at exorbitant prices to their unsuspecting congregation as a way of amassing wealth for themselves.
Reacting to recent calls by a cross section of the public on the taxation of churches, as according to the call, some pastors are using the churches as a business venture where all manner of items are sold at exorbitant prices without contributing anything back to the society, Apostle Mccalister said it is wrong for any pastor to sell anointing oil at exorbitant price, irrespective of that member’s economic background.
‘’Even anointing oil only works when the person using it has total believe in it, else it’s application worth nothing if the person has no believe in it’’ he reiterated.
He has therefore cautioned pastors against the practice, as according to him, it has its own repercussions in its due time.
