The Member of Parliament for Asene Akroso Manso constituency in the Asene Manso Akroso District Eastern Region, Hon. George Kwame Aboagye, as part of an effort to boost the education system in the country, rewarded hard-working teachers in Asene Akroso Manso constituency.
The best teachers in the constituency from Creech to SHS were given motorcycles, while the 1st runners-up were given refrigerators, and the 2nd runners-up were also given 55-inch televisions each.
In an interview with the media, the Member of Parliament for Asene Akroso Manso constituency urged the teachers not to be concerned about their monthly pay, although it’s not enough to take them through the month.
He said he would do everything within his power to support the teachers in any way.
He advises the teachers not to give up but to continue to educate the children because, all over the world, the countries that have developed very well progress through education.
Hon. George Kwame Aboagye said it is his wish that the education system in the constituency will improve very well, so he will always support it any time there’s a need to do so. He congratulated the teachers for the work done so far.
The MP also advises parents to help their children with assignments when they are home.
The Gyaasehene of Akyem Akroso Traditional Council, Nana Anim Darkwah I , speaking on behalf of the Chief of Akyem Akroso, expresses his heartfelt gratitude to the MP for such a kind gesture.
According to him, he has not seen such a thing before.
He encourages the teachers to continue and teach the children so that they can achieve their goals in life.
