The Mankrado of Gomoa Beseadze in the Gomoa Central District of the Central Region, Nana Edua Okoraman III has appealed to indigenes of the town, both home and abroad to support the development of the town in cash and in kind.

He made the appeal in an interview with Ghananews247.com during the celebration of this year’s Annual Akwambo festival of the town. According to him, the town lacks some basic social amenities such as public place of convenience, potable source of drinking water among others.

He also mentioned lack of a community center where the people will gather during such occasions, noting that this remains a matter of grave concern to the Chiefs.

However, one of the so-called Queen mothers of the town incited the youth of the town against this reporter, claiming that he has no authority to conduct the interview.

She even charged the youth majority of whom were high on alcohol to snatch and destroy the gadget used for the recording.

The incident occurred in the presence of the chief of the town, Nana Gyetuah who had known the reporter for almost a decade as a friend, but decided to look on unconcerned at the actions of the youth.
