CHURCH TAKES UP CHALLENGE AGAINST OCCULT PRACTICES.

The Christian Covenant Family Church in Agona Swedru in the Central Region has taken up the challenge to educate, not only the youth and members of the church, but that of the town as a whole against the practice of occultism which is gradually becoming a norm in the country.

And as part of efforts to ensure that this objective becomes a reality, the church is organizing a 40-Day non-denomination Fasting, Prayers and Teaching program on the theme:”God is Spirit, and Wherever He is there is Liberty”.

Speaking to Ghananews247.com, the Minister in charge of the church, Pastor Margareth Crentsil-Darko revealed that the program has become necessarily because of nature of the town which has become noted as the hub of the Sakawa menace which is also associated with occultic practices and ritual killings.

According to her, majority of the youth in the town are going wayward because of the practice of Sakawa, and therefore called all and sundry to join the fight against the practice.

Billed to speak on the subject is Rev. Martin Luther Yao Agbovi of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Agona Swedru.
