Cocoa Produce Buying Company (PBC) called on government to give them working capital to work.

The Akyem Oda District Manager of Cocoa Produce Buying Company (PBC), Mr. Fredrick Kwame Boakye, has called on the government to pump working capital into the PBC company so that they can fashion well in the country.

The manager speaking to Oyerepa TV stated that since 1999, the PCB has been given the green light to go and work on their own; no working capital has been given to them.

All the people who have been mandated to manage the company use loans to work, and because of that, they are owed.

They said not long ago the CEO of Cocoa Board,Mr. Joseph Boahen Adu, said staff of PBC are collapsing the company; they want to state that this is absolutely false.

According to them, even for the past eight months, they have not been paid, and their wives’s and children’s lives are suffering because they don’t have money to take care of them.

They pleaded with the president and vice president to, as a matter of urgency, pump money into the company so that it could survive.

They said they don’t want the company to collapse under the watch of His Excellence Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo and Dr. Bawumia, because if it happens, people will not forgive them.

If the government wants to collapse PBC, then they should compensate them so they can go ahead and collapse it.

Mr. Fredrick Kwame Boakye said if any of their managers are not performing, that person should be replaced so that the company can move on.
