The maiden edition of the Ghana Cocoa Industry Awards, the latest initiative of YPAN Consult aimed at bringing various players under one umbrella to celebrate excellence the cocoa industry of Ghana.
The awards ceremony will allow industry players build stronger networks and showcase their products and services.
Individuals and organisations will be recognized for the excellence in innovation and development of the cocoa industry of Ghana.
Chief Executive Officer of YPAN Consult, Oheneba Kwabena Kena says the awards scheme is to “Celebrate Excellence in the Cocoa Industry of Ghana”.
This initiative will motivate and encourage all players in the cocoa industry to do more to ensure steady and sustainable growth of the industry.
He said, “Despite a difficult times and seasons faced by the industry, the cocoa industry in Ghana retains a fundamentally strong outlook due to the resilience of industry players and the high global demand”.
As such, this exceptional resilience of industry players needs to be celebrated to motivate them.
According to Mr. Oheneba Kena, the nominations will be handed over to the technical team for validation and then the Awarding board, who will do the shortlisting.
The awards with the huge media awareness will showcase the excellence in Ghana’s cocoa industry to the global stage.
He stated that the awards has a high rate of credibility since all the procedures are online and judged by a technical team and an eminent Awarding board.
The “Ghana Cocoa Industry Awards “categories to be awarded include Manufacturer of the Year, Distributor of the Year, Services Company of the year ,Supplier of the Year, Product of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, Producer of the year , Exporter of the year , Financial Institution of the year , Shipping Company of the year , Exemplary Leadership Award , Outstanding Corporate Governance Award ,Logistics Supplier of the year , Technical Innovation of the Year – Products, Technical Innovation of the Year – Projects, Environmental Contribution of the Year, Marketing Company of the year ,Premix Supplier of the year ,Processing Company of the year ,Health and Safety Award ,Consultancy Company of the year, Fertilizer Supplier on the year ,Media House of the year , Best Use of Technology ,Vendor of the year , Insurer of the year , Investment and Pensions firm of the year ,Entrepreneur of the year , Social Enterprise Initiative and Community Development of the year .
