Headmaster calls for help

The headmaster of Ridge Experimental Junior High School in Akyem Oda in the Birim Central Municipality of the Eastern Region, Mr. William Barifi Kwapong, has called on old students of the school to come to their aid and help the school in diverse ways.

Ridge Experimental JHS is one of the best performing schools in the Birim Central Municipality and Eastern Region as a whole.

The headmaster made the call when speaking to Oyerepa TV after the 2001 year donated and fixed ceiling fans for the school.

He stated that he has been in the school for good four-years and this is the first time he has seen old students doing such a kind gesture for the school.

He expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the 2001 batch for such great initiative and intervention.

According to him because of the popularity of Ridge Experimental School, it has a surge in enrollment leading to overcrowding and heat in the various classrooms and thus, the provision of the ceiling fans were going to give relief to the students especially this time of the year.

He seized the opportunity to call on other batches of old students to come to their aid and help them with roofing sheets, bags of cement, cement blocks and sand for the school wall and if possible classroom blocks among others.

Mr. Eugene Asante, speaking on behalf of the 2001 batch, advised the students to take their lessons very serious.

He urged them not to play with their books but to always study very hard so that they can achieve their goals in the future.

The girls prefect of the school, Miss Esther Owusu Agyemah, speaking on behalf of the students, thanked the old students for the support and intervention.

She pleaded with other old students groups to come and help them fix other challenges in the school.
