Limited Registration Exercise Described As Successful

The Agona West Constituency Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Frederick Boateng has described the on-going Limited Registration Exercise as successful.

With few days to end the exercise, the NPP Youth Organizer said though there were few challenges such as congestion at the various offices of the Electoral Commission where the exercise took place because of the high turnout of the number of youth, the fact that there were no nasty events recorded at the various centers is an indication that the exercise was successful.

He however suggested that such exercises should be carried out at polling stations in the future to do away with congestion, so as not to disenfranchise anybody, and also to avoid any eventuality.

Meanwhile, some concerned citizens have accused the two main political parties, the ruling New Patriotic Party [NPP] and the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC] of transporting youth to centers to register.

Though the NPP Youth Organizer admitted to the accusation, he said that was meant to ensure that youth from deprived areas have the opportunity to register, as he said nobody can dictate to any youth as to which political party to vote for during elections.
